"Aus der Kriegsschule des Lebens. Was mich nicht umbringt, macht mich stärker."
- Friedrich Nietzsche: Götzen-Dämmerung, oder Wie man mit dem Hammer philisophirt.
A century ago, Nietzsche wrote this in the Epigrams and Arrows chapter of Twilight of the Idols (subtitled "How to Philisophize with a Hammer"), one of his least challenging works (and the only one that the creator of this store has fully read).
Though a much older idea that can be traced back to the early Stoics and beyond, none has expressed it with as much blunt stickiness as the Neech. Its contemporary iterations have been presented by Kelly Clarkson and Batman's Joker, and is a central theme in Nassib Taleb's seminal work Antifragile: Things that Gain from Disorder (which has been sitting on someone's bookshelf for years with only 3 pages having ever seen the light).
It doesn't get easier. You get better.
Take care of yourselves, and each other.
